Description
Jamaica tacos are meaty, slightly tangy, and incredibly delicious. They are made with jamaica flowers also known as hibiscus after the agua fresca (iced tea) has been made. They are a true mouth-watering experience!

- 2 cups soaked Jamaica (after making agua de jamaica)
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 tbsp avocado oil or neutral oil
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari or liquid aminos
Tacos:
- 8 corn tortillas
- Salsa
- Cilantro
- Onion
Instructions
- Make a double bach of agua de jamaica recipe.
- Rinse jamaica flowers repeatedly until water runs clear.
- Add oil to a pan on medium heat. Once hot, add the onions and fry until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, chop jamaica into smaller pieces.
- Add Jamaica and cook with onions for a few minutes. Add the vegetable broth.
- Simmer on low heat until the jamaica has absorbed all the broth.
- Add garlic powder and soy sauce/tamari and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Serve on warm corn tortillas with salsa, cilantro, and onion.
